I work part time (about 2-3 days a week) in LA as a background actor. This, I believe is the current most highly regarded term for it. Also known as “extra work” and more affectionately “human prop”. Now depending on who is reading, you may think this sounds either cool, or completely inane. It is both.

This is not my dream, in fact I have a BA in Theater, and an MBA in Business from top two top tier universities…STILL this is the best option for me right now – I will explain the math more later for anyone who cares. The purpose of this blog is to share this amusing perspective of Hollywood, to warn and encourage others, and to pass the 10+ hour days on set.
